Life after exams is awesome !

Exams are finally over. Watched district 9 after exams with Jason, Karis, Roy and Pork. Sunday was bball time where a record number of 12 of our guys came, along with jeff and jon, we had 14 people. Great ball session. Afternoon was sleeping time. Met up with pork at 6pm for the IT fair. Turns out to be at expo and we ended up at suntec. Had awesome Carl's Junior meal for dinner. Then "Where got ghost" at bishan with Jason and Karis. After which CS with Brain and Roy. Good sunday overall.

Monday was routine, slept in late (thrills in life) went for tuition, pool at night with pork.

2 more weeks of holis before going back to school. Bummer.

I just typed out a long long post and blogger fucked it up !! The auto-save function is screwed ! damn it .. too lazy to type back everything.

UP musings

Somethings about up that got me thinking.

1) Carl Fredricksen's chilhood hero Charles Muntz was like what, 24-28 when Carl Fredricksen was a young boy. Later when the 78 year old Carl flew to South America, Charles Muntz was still alive ! wtf man ! he'd be at least 100 odd years old !

2) Throughou the whole movie, you see Carl Fredricksen struggling to walk, he doesn't even walk down the stairs in his house. He needs a walking stick to help him get from one place to another. Then, in South America, He fights with Charles Muntz on the blimp. At one point, while escaping from Charles, he climbs out of the fucking blimp and starts climbing with kevin the bird on top of the blimp. He was dangling on the monkey bar thingee and he HEAVES his entire lower body to the climbing position. MAN ! nobody FUCKS with Fredricksen man, nobody !

Other than this two parts, the entire movie was a blast ! everyone should go watch it.

Randomness

Just found out something. If anyone remembers June Tan, from the local drama "The Ride Home" years back, she's actually from Murdoch as well ! June Tan is super chio, i had my schoolboy crush on her. \

I know its pretty random, but what the heck.

By the way, been listening to 80s music, Fleetwood Mac, Jann Arden, Joey Lawrence.

I'm also thinking of ordering the Peter Cincotti: Live in New York 2005 DVD from Amazon. Its going to be fucking expensive, any one in the US willing to ship it over for me?

I've got some thoughts on the movie "UP". I'll put it up on my next post.

A case of sour grapes

Its funny how fast some people can move on, one minute their live is in ruins, nothing seemed to matter and death seemed the viable solution. The next thing you know, they've moved on !

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the one must drown in their own sorrow, stay sad and never move on, its just that, its a little fast isn't in ? It doesn't then give meaning to what was said previously about how hurt one is. Of course its never bad to get over one's sorrow quickly and smoothly. Perhaps the impact wasn't that as big as percieved. Perhaps the involvement was merely superficial. Perhaps it ain't love, coz you can't mend a broken heart THAT fast ! at least not for me. Perhaps its just a case of sour grapes.

Two and a Half men

I've been watching Two and a Half Men, I'm into Season 5 already ! 4 whole seasons in less than 1 month ! anyway, I'm watching Season 5 Episode 14, this was the episode that got me to start watching Two and a Half men, I first saw this episode in Genting last year when i went with my dad, i do not have cable at home so I can't catch all the CBS or ABC shows like most lucky bastards. Anywho, its an awesome show ! go watch it !

Roy's Birthday

Met up with pork 4pm at his place, we went direct to Suntec first to buy the cake. We got the chocolate cake (which was superb by the way) and then met up with the nurse. Roy and the rest came slightly after 545pm and we finally ordered. Oh right, we had Fish and Co. Everyone ate the seafood platter while I had the New York Fish and Chips (which again, is superb).

We left for Minds Cafe right after dinner. had loads of fun playing Quelf. Played in teams, making some people one happy. Most of the photos are taken in Minds cafe, so to make things simpler, I’ll dump all the photos here.

After 2 hours in Minds, we left for drinking session, back to Dockside. Pool, Singing and drinking to cap the night. Roy sent the sengkang-ians back home while I sent the bishan-ians home. We had a great chat in the car, Jason’s cousin has a terrific voice, exact duplicate of the 933Djs !!

Anyway, went back home, felt shitty and tired coz I was feeling sick the entire day. Slept almost immediately. As mentioned in my earlier post, this would be the my last outing as the planner, its time to pass the baton to someone else who is willing to do all the planning. Hopefully it was a last good one for Roy Boy. Happy Birthday Bro ! We still have to go BF. That’ll be one in the books.

Roy's birthday celebration the aftermath

Roy's birthday celebration is over, which concludes my last trip as a planner. Its been a good run. Had a blast today. Have to work in 3 hours time. Photos and update later.

Thinking back

I saw the videos on my god sis's facebook account. Clarence leaving thomson, Saiful's birthday. It made me reminisce the times when i was working back there. Looking back, its really been a good run. The happy times, the sad times, anger, frustration and the rewards that came with the job. Through time, things change, nothing lasts forever. But anyway, its about the experience, not the duration. Now, after 8 years down the road, I've grown, I'm older and its time for the young ones to experience what I've experienced. All I can do now, is take a back seat and see the young energetic people run the show. Come to think about it, what was once a major part of my life has now comfortably stored itself in the depths of my memory, and for that, I'm thankful.



Anyway, Roy's birthday is comin up. This'll be my last time planning something like a birthday celebration or a major outing. Lets hope it'll be a good one.

Last day of Advanced HR Perspective today, loads to study. I'm so dead.

Mini updates

- There was this mad rush to finish off group assignments last week. Late nights and endless journals can kill. Everything's been submitted though. Taking this week to rest a little before starting on revision for the finals.

- Been playing lots of pool lately.

- Got parking summon last saturday night. Fuck.

- Watched The Hangover, I forgot when was the last time a movie made me laugh so hard.

- Watched Fighting, it was all right.

- Watched A Frozen Flower last night, nothing beats a Gay Korean King and his loyal Confused, Bisexual chief of royal guard.

- I'm so broke that I'm tapping into my holiday savings.

- Been really tired these few days, need more sleep.

- Into my 4th season of two and a half men, awesome show !

- I need to watch my diet, getting fatter by the hour.

- Feel like taking a break from all my jobs, just leave everything and don't think about anything.

- Did i mention i was broke ?
