Random Rants

Its unfortunate that people do not appreciate what you've done for them and most people on the receiving end would naturally assume that it is you should be doing it and don't give two shit about the effort you put in.

It is never easy to plan and execute. When you stumble, appreciative people help you up and work with you to make things better. Those ungrateful ingrates will pour salt to your wounds and say that you have not done a good job.

Its never easy to please everyone, but the good thing about life is that you do not need to please everyone. That goes to say, as long as you own a clear conscious, knowing you've done all you can, forget about the pain and criticism that comes along with the negative people. Its hard to remain calm and composed while facing these people, but at the end of the day, life still goes on. The only consolation is that you know very well these people are inadequate sad sad people.

Sad but very true.

----

Glad to see one of my 2 closest friends in Uni, still happy together after their courtship days in school. Their recent trip to Thailand with all their "happy moments" photos are really awesome. But through the process of my guy friend going after the girl, I have been consistently encouraging him and egging him to press on to win the girls heart. Right after that; once he gets the girl. Poof ! He's out of my life like as if I never existed. Its sad, but I get it. Its reality.

I used to feel bad for myself, even to the extent of feeling betrayed by a comrade. But now, I've learnt to let go of alot of things and I've learnt to pick my friends wisely. Don't get me wrong, I still love the both of them. Its just that our direction in life is totally different. They found their happiness and I'm sincerely happy for them.

----

Seeing everyone go overseas,I'd really like to travel as well. Unfortunately I'm not born into a rich family whereby I can afford to be unemployed for months after graduation. I have to work to sustain my lifestyle and if you've been consistently reading my blog, you know what kind of mundane lifestyle I have and surprisingly that lifestyle needs a substantial amount of money to sustain it.

Travelling is awesome, I want to travel. But finding a good kaki to travel is hard, my buddy has different priorities in life and I respect that, so going on a trip with him takes assiduous planning and lots of saving. But whatever happened to the impromptu trips? Just grab your bags and just go ! Sigh, I guess as you get older, your focus and priorities changes so drastically that sooner or later you will not even have the time to travel.

I'd advice all my loyal readers (all 3 of you -_-") to travel when you're young, be spontaneous, do something different, on a whim, without holding back, no regrets. Life's short. Seriously .. it is.

No Life. Work shit.

Falling sick again. sigh. went back work after having a friday off. Guess what, more shit to clear. Dishwasher give shit, staff give shit, manager going to give shit.
On a good note, I've been watching shows on mio tv. Lots of movies online. Pretty mundane life I'm having. So boring. No one's free to hang out. Its all work and no play. I think I need to be like Agnes.. So called "Have a life" ..

Sigh.

Random Pictures of awesomeness

Some random photos in my phone.

First off, I see her almost everyday on my way to work. She's pretty, She has charisma & She poses like a goddess.

Makes me wanna eat a magnum now.

Next up, mini snack made by ah shan. Its filled with duck meat. Its like a 鸭堡包. lol. Simple good and awesome.

This was on Ye Yi's last day, I was teaching her to do some stuff on the office computer when I noticed she was wearing a hoodie. And this is what we do for hoodies. We put it over our heads and look like a giant peanut. lol.

Last but not least, during work, my hostess will announce through our push to talk on the amount of guest in the queue and the table arrangement required. Usually they'd say "I need a table for 2 + 1 pram".

I'd usually ask them back "The guest want to leave their Mercedes outside or want to bring in?" or "The guest parking their Ferrari at host or drive in ?" (For idiots who don't get it, Ferrari/Mercedes refers to the baby pram ._.)

Well. ummm. Ok .. The Ferrari was parked outside. lol.

Long post of random nothingness

Its been a while since I've put up and entry. Siqi even tweeted me asking why have I not been updating my blog. It seems her last post was like ages ago too. I think only Jia Lin has been religiously updating her blog. Michelle updates once in a while with post getting shorter and shorter. I have just been too lazy to blog and most of my off days are spent home paying back my sleep debts. Oh well, since I've started typing, might as well post up what I've been intending to blog.

-------------

Previously, I put up a post in the year 2010 - tips on being a good customer. During that time, I was working part time in the F & B industry and inspired by the book Waiter rant by Steve Dublanica, I wrote that post to relate in real life what we went through as service providers in Singapore. So now that I am working full time in the F & B industry, I thought I'd revise that list and add in a couple more tips now that I see customers almost everyday at the establishment I work in. So once again, dedicated to all my hard working colleagues at my work place. This section of this long post is for you guys :D

Tips on being a good customer

1) Each restaurant has their way of operating and policies that set them apart from other restaurants. We're just the service providers working for bosses, just the same way that you have to report to bosses. Policies are meant to be there to be followed. With regards to reservation, we have restrictions to what time we are able to accommodate and the amount of people we can seat, it is also subjected to availability. When making a reservation, do not DEMAND that your reservation be taken, I run the bloody restaurant, not you. Start our relationship off well, you demanding a table reservation even though I tell you I'm full for the night isn't going to make you the most loved customer of the night. I still want your business, accept my alternative option for you. And don't give me that bullshit excuse when demanding a table for a celebration with your girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband/friend/going away friend/kids's birthday. EVERY bloody reservation says the same thing. If a table reservation is that important to you, reserve your table early, like 2 weeks beforehand.

2) With the first point in place, when you make reservations, keep them. Be on time, We did you a favor of holding back your table, the least you could do is to come. On time.

3) If for some circumstances you're gonna be late; traffic jam, can't find a parking lot, bullshit reasons that probably are lies, please CALL. Its nice to let us know that you'll be late. Your table will be empty for a long long and hungry diners are waiting for one. Get it ?

4) Never say "I'm friends with the restaurant manager." Restaurant managers do not have any friends. You will not get special privileges or free drinks. You queue up and wait like the rest of the people.

5) Seat where you're seated. Whenever hostesses attempt to seat guests, many customers (usually females) will walk past the proffered seat and hunt around the restaurant for a better table. Please, let the hostess do her job. She's trying to seat customers evenly so that everyone gets the best service possible. The bloody food taste the same which ever table you seat at.

6) Wait to be seated. Don't just saunter into the restaurant like its a food court or KFC. It is a bloody restaurant, wait for the host to attend to you. Walking in and looking for a seat yourself defeats the purpose of dining in a restaurant where by your dining experience begins at the host. And eating out in a restaurant, have some grace, don't act like some uneducated fool who doesn't even know basic courtesy when stepping into someone else's "home", you have to wait to be invited in.

7) Be polite. Say please and thank you. Be courteous to the hostess, waiters and managers at the establishment you're dining at . Treat others as you want to be treated. (Yes, people need to be reminded of this)

8) Never say, "Do you know who I am?" Why ? Did you forgot who you are ?

9) Do not snap your fingers to get the waiter's attention. Remember, we have shears that cut through bone in the kitchen.

10) Once seated, don't walk around with your kid. This is a restaurant, not the zoo. You do not need to see what other diners are doing, you're blocking the way of the waiters and bussers, and you're a potential hazard to other guest considering we have a buffet going on and people are walking around with plates that may shatter your kid's skull.

11) You are dining at a restaurant, not a picnic at the playground. Parents, do not let your kids run around like their in a playground with sesame street characters chasing them. Especially during rush hour. Hot soup on your kid's head is not a good sight.

12) Don't ask for a table next to a power point you cheap bastard. Be it for your iPhone or Laptop. Go to a library or something.

13) Order clearly. Say what you want. Your waiter is not psychic. Clarify the order with the waiter who, if he's smart will repeat the order back to you. It is okay if you do not know how to pronounce the item's name. We will not laugh at you. Honestly. Except if you order a sirLION steak instead of a sirLOIN steak.

14) Don't order off the menu. There is a reason why the menu items are as it is. It doesn't mean that we sell tuna and rice, we can make you sushi. When you order and change things in the menu, you're forcing the chef into a situation where he's cooking something he doesn't make on a regular basis. In a restaurant kitchen, repetition is the key to consistency. You want your heart surgeon to have done ten thousand by passes before he cracks open your chest right? Same with a chef. If he makes the same entree ten thousand times a month, chances are the dish would be a home run every time he churns out one.

15) Reasonable menu changes are all right for food allergies. Don't lie and say that you have an allergy so that the chef will make something special just for you. You know who you are.

16) After ordering, wait for your food. Have patience, you are not the only customer in the whole restaurant. Don't exaggerate your waiting time. You've only waited 5 minutes, not 20 minutes.

17) If you're in a rush, please don't dine with us, go to Mcdonalds or something, they're way way way faster than us.

18) The secret to being treated like a regular customer? Be a regular customer. Everybody likes to have a favourite restaurant whereby the waiter knows his favourite drink and the owner makes a fuss over him. We all want a special place where we'll always get a good table or a last minute reservation. The problem is, most patrons think they're entitled to that level of fawning on their first visit to the restaurant. Wrong ! If you want to be treated like a regular customer, you have to patronize an establishment at least once or twice a month.

19) Don't monopolize the waiter's time. Sure I'd like to talk with you, only if I have 5 waiters but only 2 tables in the restaurant. And please, call me over when you are ready to order. I don't want to stand by your table while your date is a clueless person who has no idea what he/she wants. I can always come back later while you discuss your food preference with your partner. You are always welcomed to ask me for recommendations, I'll give them to you. But unless you're gorgeous with a cleavage, don't get me to stand there and wait while you're having a mini meeting on what you're gonna eat.

20) In Singapore, tipping is not a norm. Mostly customers in Singapore don't tip because they assume that they've already paid service charge. What most people don't know is that the service charged paid does not go to the waiters and managers like practiced in other countries. Only a handful of establishments in Singapore splits up the service charge to the waiters. Unfortunately, the establishment I work in isn't one of those handful. The money to pay for broken dishes and damaged restaurant property has to come from somewhere right ?
So moral of this point ? Tip us ! Haha.

2011 NBA Champions

In other news, the Dallas Mavericks won the 2011 NBA finals. Finally a ring for the franchise and a ring for my favorite player of all time - Jason Kidd. After 17 long years in the league and coming close to winning it 2 times with the New Jersey Nets, JKidd finally got what he deserves, the ring in the team he was originally drafted to. That's awesome.

-------------

Eun Jung
T-ara and Eunjung came to town recently, I didn't have time and tickets to go catch them. Wasted. I bet Eunjun looks really gorgeous in real life.

-------------

Plants VS Zombies
I've been losing a lot of sleep recently to this bloody game. I've been playing it religiously every single night before I go to sleep. Round after round after round. My iPad has fingerprints at a certain places where I control the game. Seriously funny.

-------------

Waisan visit
Waisan recently came back to town. We arranged a weekday night basketball session where by lots of the guys turned up. Which goes to show that we're really lazy and not putting in effort to exercise more. The Hongkong dude comes back and everyone comes out for ball just to give "face". Haha. Prata followed after that and it was a great, nostalgic night. Awesome.

16 signs to quit your job
Previously I did a quiz that was posted on Yahoo's page on reasons to quit your job. I scored 5 out of 10. Couple of weeks back, smack in the middle of Yahoo's page was this headline - 16 signs to quit your job. I'm thinking many people are reconsidering changing jobs now that the economy is getting better, that is why the recent post on quitting jobs for greener pasture smacked in Yahoo's front pages every now and then. Anyway, I copied the 16 reasons down and I'm not going to answer them this time, just in case my upper management reads my blog. haha. But see how much you fare !

Nightmares about work. There's nothing worse than dreaming about work. It's like spending hours at the office--without getting paid. The worst part is that employment nightmares can throw off your work-life balance, making you feel as if you have not had a healthy amount of time away from the office. Sometimes the dreams are so realistic, you wake up feeling like you've worked a 24-hour shift. These reflections of your subconscious might be sending you a message: Find a new job!

Boredom/predictability. When the minutes feel like hours, it's time to move on. Boredom is a "gateway problem" to a host of ugly things. While the feeling might appear harmless, sustained periods of boredom can lead to a plethora of psychological and physical issues, including anxiety and depression. If you know everything your coworkers will do--before they do it--it's time to go. Ennui is more than a mild irritant, it might be a telltale sign that a new job is needed.

Try, try, try. If you have spent the past year employing all of the tactics you've read on career advice blogs and in employment books, but keep winding up back in the same dark place, it's time to find a new job. Sometimes advice can be summed up in two letters: G-O!

Your Gut. Oftentimes, our minds and hearts will know the answer to a question. But rather than accept that, we ask anyone who will listen. And while these folks will do their best to deliver solid answers, the answer to seek new employment lies within. Ignore your instinct at your own peril. If a little voice keeps telling you to move on, you should listen up.

Management issues. If the people running the show appear confused, odds are, they are confused--and that doesn't bode well for employees. Personnel can change, but company culture is much less likely to evolve quickly. Working amongst chaos is a major stressor, one that often outweighs a job's perks. If your company doesn't have their stuff together, you need to get your stuff together and leave.

Misaligned values. The ideal work scenario has you working for, and alongside, people who share a similar core value system with you. If the head honchos have different philosophical beliefs than you (i.e., let's not recycle paper or let's stay two hours late every night), the organization might not be a good fit for you.

Work is work. Every job should come with some fun. If the good times have been completely drained from your 9-to-5, you need to move on. Even employees conducting the most macabre jobs are able to share some laughs. If you find yourself working at Sourpuss Central, start sending out resumes and regain your inner child. Even a fake smile has a value!

Life change. As you collect your regular paychecks, life changes around you. Regularly evaluate your priorities. If you are planning to start a family or considering a cross-country move, it might be time to analyze how your current job stacks up against your new needs and wants. There's no shame in changing, but it is a shame to not recognize that a change is needed.

Checked out. Helplessness and hopelessness have no place in positive lives. If work has made you question your own worth or value as an employee, you need to spruce up that resume.

Change in appearance. From weight gain or loss to bags under the eyes, if you've thrown in the towel with regards to your looks, or you find yourself either unable to eat or using food to pacify your angst, it may be time to punch up that resume. Appearance and confidence go hand-in-hand. Take a long look in the mirror and ask yourself if you like what you see.

Lack of sleep. Bad dreams are one thing, but insomnia brought on by the dread you feel waiting for the alarm clock to sound, is another. If you manage to catch a few winks, and they are restless and disturbed, take a hard look at your lifestyle. Is it the foods you are eating? A lack of exercise? Or is it your job?

Complaining about work. Some people just can't leave their troubles at the office. They are defined by their jobs. If you suddenly find yourself consumed by work and unable to shake the negative attitude you have toward it, you may be heading down a dead-end path. In many cases, this behavior starts with a small work clique. Each member works the other ones up on how horrible everything job-related is. Ironically, you soon end up feeling isolated and miserable. Nothing productive comes out of chronic complaining, so get your butt in gear and put your money where your mouth is.

Job-search addiction. You start by checking once a day, then twice a day, before you know it, you're practically living on job boards. The worst part is, you're giving serious consideration to jobs that are unrelated to your skillset and pay substantially less than what your skills are worth. Check please!

Internet-search balance shift. Sure, most of us surf the Web at some point during our workday. But if you find that you are spending more and more time Web window shopping or treating fantasy football like it was reality football, you might as well start clearing out your desk. Give yourself this one-question quiz: Are you begging to be caught?

Your boss is cruel. Yelling. Manipulative games. Arrogance. If dealing with your boss is a royal pain and your company does not have the proper communication channels set up for you to address the issue, it might be time to move on. A bad boss might be tolerable, but a sadistic boss is unacceptable.

Your company doesn't foster employee growth. Self motivation is exhausting. It's a big plus to have your employer in your corner, helping you learn and grow as an employee. From tuition reimbursement to management mentoring programs, if your employer is not invested in you, you can't expect to grow.

PS. I scored 9 out of 16 ._.

An all time low for the Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers has sunk to a new low. Look at how they played game 4 of the western semis. Cheap shots and "sore loserish" style of play. Its the NBA not fight club.

Oh how the high and mighty Lakers fall.

I'll send brooms over to you guys soon.

Love and Immortality

Let me tell you a story,

Of a boy and his tragedy.

Vested with the gift of immortality,

In return he could never have love.

Nothing he ever wanted more,

Give his heart to a girl.

A simple wish he had,

Make his love known to that girl.

And hoped in return,

Nothing more than her true love.

Deigned not by fate,

A lost cause but not too late.

All he wanted is to be normal,

Letting go of his gift.

Wither in despair if judged,

All for the chance to love.

Young again he’ll never be,

So it seems, but he could love free.

Please Don't Go

A special song is worthy of a special mention.

This song is awesome !

Barcelona - Please Don't Go

All those arrows you threw, you threw them away
You kept falling in love and then one day
When you fell, you fell towards me
When you crashed in the clouds, you found me

Oh please don't go, I want you so
I cant let go, for I lose control

Get these left handed lovers out of your way
They look hopeful, but you, you should not stay
If you want me to break down, and give you the keys
I can do that, but I cant let you leave

Oh please don't go, I want you so
I cant let go, for I lose control

Is it worth it ?

It has been a busy week, with the long weekend and shit. I'm so tired mentally and physically my body is just moving for the sake of moving. Well, April ended and May's in. Its been too long already. Gotta seriously reconsider all my options.
I've got a feeling everything's gonna change soon. I've been adapting to change pretty well. But I'm not sure if I even have the will and strength to carry on believing that I'm able to. Looking at my shifts, the amount of extra hours I need to put in (not that I have a choice), I'm not sure if it is worth it anymore. Even hitting my target for this 2 months, I still feel it is not enough to cover the shortfall in January. I'm also beginning to question what do I get in the end ?

The satisfaction ? Not any impact.

The glory/reputation ? Not necessary.

Sadly, the world has changed to a more practical place. Suitable rewards are to be bestowed on to those who put in hard work. At the end, at times like this, I strongly believe there is no one who'll work so hard for so little. Pay peanuts you get monkeys. There is some truth in this but then again, who am I to complain ? The job's not hard, the hours are long and my team is pretty good together.

The saddest thing is that I'm always procrastinating. I want to move on, I feel numb. But some part of me feels this tiny tinge of responsibility. It may be dumb to think so. No one is indispensable to the company. But I'm thankful for all the chances the company has given me, and the opportunity to learn new things. But is it all worth it ?

Well ..

Rachel and the Minister

Morale has been low at work recently, busy, understaffed and discontent amongst the young ones. Its getting tougher day by day, driving myself to the edge of my sanity, as I risk losing the reason(s) why I'm staying, perhaps looking back at everything, maybe I was the one who made things the way they are currently, perhaps I'm the one to blame :(

Anyway, Minister Lee Yi Shyan visited my establishment for light refreshments this morning. Their meals prepared by my chef.

There were reporters everywhere, but one stood out. Ms Rachel Kelly from Channel News Asia, she's super gorgeous and while she was rehearsing her lines, she asked a favor, to be her "calafare" LOL .. So I was to just act out that I'm passing her a bill and thanking her and she'll take it from there, speaking about something to do with CCI for the mall. Pretty awesome girl, got the take after just 2 tries. Perfect sexy English.

Now I see why Agnes likes Ang Mos so much. lol.

Anyway, got to take a photo for keepsake taken by the lovely Thana. By the way, her cameraman was super funny, this indian guy. It was awesome to have shit like this to brighten the dull dull Monday.
Till then, I'll be leaving you with a super nice old song of the moment.

Its been a tough few days, and its not much easier to please forty odd staff you have. Well, sometimes things are beyond one's means and control. Just when things couldn't get any worse.

Hope I'm able to.

Complains from an asshat

I'm going to share something with my beloved readers. I personally think that it is one of the funniest shit ever. It might be frowned upon if my superiors ever read this but still, lets be bold and do it.

Below is a complaint letter from a guest to the establishment I work at. Word for word but i censored out the place in question.

"I was at ____________ on friday 15 apr 2011 around 815-900pm. I was with 3 other friends having our dinner. I ordered an icecream milkshake and the bread with tomato (forgotten the name of that dish). My other 2 friends ordered Salad buffet and the last of my friend ordered a fish and chips it came with a free buffet salad. After eating for awhile my friend felt that he couldnt eat fish and chips as he was full already so i helped him some of the fish and chips. Awhile later a waitress approached us and told us we werent suppose to share the meal. I explained to her that i was just eating the fish and chips and i under no circumstance touch the salad at all. She acknowledge and replied ok and when to tell another staff something. Therefore we expected her to accept our explaination or at least tell us however she never came back. After eating finish we called for bill. Much to our suprise we were charged for 4 salad , 1 fish and chips , 1 milkshake and 1 bread with tomato. We told the staff that it was a mistake and she took pretty long to think so i suggested that she call her manager as she said she couldnt do anything. The manager came and heard our explaination and edited the receipt. Another staff came and pass us the receipt. My friends and I felt that the manager since he was called down should at least came back to acknowledge however it wasnt the case.
I felt that the staff at that outlet mainly those i had interaction with had very poor attitude. If the staff who approached us first couldnt make the call about it she should call her manager straight and not set the bill at 4 salad buffet. The second staff who pass us the bill was tilting the bill at a weird angle and was taken aback when we ask to confirm the bill. Did she know that there was something wrong or she just had a weird way to show the bill to us. Finally I was disappointed that the manager attitude after listening was like "oh ok" and when on doing his rounds i felt it reflected very poorly on the staff of that outlet.

I hope you can explain what happened that day as it was quite weird as I was with other friends as well. Thanks"

After reading this feedback, I started to think. wtf is that ? It is fucking hilarious. So below will be the exact same thing, but with my comments bold and brackets. Hopefully you see what I mean..

"I was at ____________ (Well, for one thing, this idiot spelled the name of the establishment I work in wrongly. Can't even get the name of the god damn place right ?) on friday 15 apr 2011 around 815-900pm. I was with 3 other friends having our dinner. I ordered an icecream milkshake and the bread with tomato (forgotten the name of that dish) (Seriously ? Bread with Tomato ? Its called freaking Bruschetta, Don't even know what dish you ordered ?) . My other 2 friends ordered Salad buffet and the last of my friend (Can see why you only have 3 friends left .. literally the "last" of your friend) ordered afish (afish ? ohhh . A [space] fish) and chips it came with a free buffet salad. After eating for awhile my friend felt that he couldnt eat fish and chips as he was full already so i helped him some of the fish and chips. (helped him some of the fish and chips ? which means ??) Awhile later a waitress approached us and told us we werent suppose to share the meal. (Sure the waitress said that ? Share the MEAL ? Basically the restaurant will not give a shit to how many people you share your meal with, you could buy a fish and chips, chop it up to 500 pieces and feed 500 starving kids in Africa and the restaurant won't give a shit unless you do no pay for it) I explained to her that i was just eating the fish and chips and i under no circumstance touch the salad at all. (Oh, so you meant the salad bar that comes with the meal, now I get it..) She acknowledge and replied ok and when (When? what time? oh.... WENT ... ) to tell another staff something. (What ? her panties is wedged up her ass crack ? Sensitive asshat) Therefore we expected her to accept our explaination or at least tell us however she never came back. (You already said she ACKNOWLEDGE already, what more do you want ? The waitress to give you a hug and a kiss ?) After eating finish we called for bill. Much to our suprise we were charged for 4 salad , 1 fish and chips , 1 milkshake and 1 bread with tomato (BRUSCHETTA ! God Damn It !).
(Serving cheap guests would naturally make the server's attitude skewered) If the staff who approached us first couldnt make the call about it she should call her manager straight and not set the bill at 4 salad buffet. The second staff who pass us the bill was tilting the bill at a weird angle (THIS IS THE FUCKING PART THAT CRACKED ME UP. TILT THE BILL AT A WEIRD ANGLE ? HAHAHAHAHA FUCKING HILARIOUS ! So this is a wake up call for all customer service representative in Singapore. Each and everyone must bring along with them a compass and a ruler, while presenting the bill, DO TAKE NOTE OF THE CORRECT ANGEL TO SHOW GUEST THE BILL, a recommendation would be 45 Degrees from the table to the face. With precise length of 10cm off the table for optimal view of the bill.) and was taken aback when we ask to confirm the bill. ("Sir, please remain calm. Do not be taken back by what I'm going to ask you to do. Remember Sir, remember to remain calm and don't go into epileptic shock now.. Sir .. Please check and confirm your bill.." HAHAHAHA seriously funny, my assistant managers laughed like mad. You've gotta be there when I said this to them to feel its absurdness) Did she know that there was something wrong or she just had a weird way to show the bill to us. (I believe maybe the government should set a STANDARD and pass a law on the CORRECT way of showing a bill to a guest) Finally I was disappointed that the manager attitude after listening was like "oh ok" (Empathy is shown on the faces of your server if you were nice to them. Remember, treat others the way you want to be treated. And by the way, what did you expect ? The manager to get all the waitresses to stand in a line an bow in deepest apology for charging a buffet salad that you DID consumer knowingly that you had no entitlement to and that you refused to admit and take the recommendation of just topping up the difference so you could enjoy the Salad Buffet as well? ) and when on doing his rounds i felt it reflected very poorly on the staff of that outlet.

I hope you can explain what happened that day as it was quite weird as I was with other friends as well. (So it'll be all okay with you were with your parents instead of your friends ?) Thanks"

So thats it. I found out about the entire situation from my colleagues as I wasn't in that day. I can only say - if you can't afford to eat out, stay at home. There is an international rule EVERYWHERE in the bloody world that Buffets are not meant for sharing and transferring. If you get caught sharing/transferring, usually, the restaurant will exercise their flexibility and not charge you the first time round. Yes, the servers will talk amongst themselves, but shame on your to share when you're not entitled to the buffet. Live with it. Do not attempt to try it again as most servers will have their eyes on your table. Salvage some pride and ask the restaurant to charge you, it'll show that you can afford it and you can enjoy the buffet like a free man. Eating the crap out of yourself without giving a shit what others say, simply coz you PAID.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not that mean to laugh at someone else's command of the English Language, I do not write perfect English, I try to speak proper English, but please dear god, If you intend to write a complain to a company at least get someone to vet through your bloody letter before sending it out.

In short, its a watered down version of Eau De Parfume.

No doubt about it, I'm probably the one amongst all my straight guy friends with the most number and different kinds of fragrances/cologne.

Time to count !

2) DKNY Be Delicious (Green) (Men)
3) DKNY Be Delicious (Red) (Women)
4) MontBlanc Individual
5) Tommy Hilfiger - Hilfiger
6) Narciso Rodriguez
7) Escada Sentiment for men
8) Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme
9) Bvlgari Pour Homme
10) Kenneth Cole Black
11) Kate Moss - Kate
12) Calvin Klein Truth
13) Kenzo Air
14) Polo Double Black
15) Bvlgari Pour Homme Extreme
16) Calvin Klien In 2 U for men

18) Clinique Happy Heart

Deodorants
21) SG Men Fantasia
22) Amby London

I own at least 2 bottles for some of the above cologne as it is so awesome 1 is not enough.

Some of the fragrances mentioned above are for women, but the scent still works great on guys. Nothing too feminine like Ralph Laurent Romance or Chanel No.5

I'm smelling great :D AWESOME !

Education Medication

Long week has ended. I free labour "committed" for 10 over hours this week. Next week is worse. 11 hours of free labour "commitment". Life is back to boring-ness. Work, sleep, work, sleep, work, sleep.

To make things worse, my girls are all going to poly, leaving me with my full timers. Don't get me wrong, I love my full timers, I think they're great, but without the energy and spontneity of my part timers, my full timers lack motivation. Maybe I'm just not a good enough source of motivation. Great workers need a greater leader to bring out the best in them, don't they?

Anyway, had some pretty awesome soup with boss at Soup spoon for "dinner" just now, after which I talked to Michelle for like quite long, to which she left ear in right ear out. But technically, I was sitting on her right, so its right ear in, left ear out. Since she doesn't remember, I shall blog in down in words so that she'll be able to refer it here. So here's a shoutout to Michelle ! Hello Aeroplane queen !

1) Choose wisely which course to take in Poly, the mistake I made was that I chose a course which I assumed I liked without really asking myself - "Is this what I want?"

2) Never settle for second best, same goes to life & relationships. Why "cheapen" yourself and settle for something you can have easily but not what you really want ?

3) Don't study a course just because you are not accepted in other courses. Appeal, take some time to reconsider your options.

4) Private education is not cheap, but seriously, nothing is free in this world.

5) Work hard for what you want, not compromising enjoying student life while you're at it.

6) Money doesn't fall from the sky, nothing beats spending your own hard earned money. Cheap thrills.

7) When you decide, stick to your decisions and live with it. Life's simple, you make decisions and you don't look back.

8) Nothing is garuanteed in this world, but sometimes, as corny as this sounds, you gotta look far ahead and see yourself in 10 years, will this move help you further your career in the future?

9) Decided what you want liao and update me.

10) Come back to work ASAP ! Be happy :D

Anyway, thats all that I can advice my dear Michelle, it seems that she herself doesn't even know what she wants. Thats worrying, but common. Not to worry, things will work out. If it doesn't, there's always a back up plan.

Its damn late, I think I gotta go sleep. Since I've been posting lengthy words and no pictures, I shall post a picture for this post like Michelle's latest post too !

LoL ! Amanda very cute :D

Universal Studio Singapore did not happen

Half of April has passed. Another half more to go.

Initially I was suppose to make my first trip to USS on wednesday, in the end, all of them slept in late, my champion Michelle slept till 1230pm -___-"

So while waiting for Aeroplane queen to come, Jialin, Sakilah and I watched Morning Glory, the god damn movie I've wanted to watch since forever. It was pretty good. Rachel McAdams is like bloody hot.

After the movie, Aeroplane queen finally came and we left for ion to eat. We went Swensens as Agnes was there to give training. After the meal, we roamed around ion and I ended up buying a jacket from Muji.. Sigh .. more money spent ..

We waited for Agnes to finish her training before going for KTV. KTV till 10pm, I went over to pork's place with supper and smokes till 1130pm before heading home. Pretty tiring but fulfiling day.

Come today, had meeting at Thomson Plaza and after which went for Pizza hut dinner with 5 bosses. Did you know that 6 people can eat $160++ worth of pizza hut ?!?!?!

Anyway, my aeroplane queen blogs almost every other day. I think I should try to blog more too. lol.

Till then..
